Parish Bulletin
Sunday 13th June 2021
Eleventh Sunday of Ordinary Time
June is the month of special devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and we celebrated the feast of the Sacred Heart on Friday evening. Why did Jesus want us to think about his heart? Well, all through history humans have seen the heart as the source of love. Look at everything from St Valentines cards to emojis on our phones. The heart is the universal symbol of love! And so Jesus invites us to think of his heart because he wants us to know just how much he loves us.
But the Sacred Heart is more than just a cute symbol—it’s wounded. The heart of Jesus is hurt by those who don't love him. But he is consoled by those faithful souls who do! So let's lift up our hearts to Jesus this month and do our best to love him in return.
