Third Sunday of Lent
Pope Francis has decided to reconsecrate both Russia and Ukraine to Our Lady this Friday and has asked the priests and people of the world to join him in his prayer for peace.
On Thursday evening (from 7 to 9pm) we will have a vigil of prayer and reparation in honour of Our Lady for this special intention. On Friday we will join in the prayers of consecration at our normal evening Mass. Next weekend a special collection for Ukraine will be taken up at all Masses. Please support these initiatives if you can!

SYNOD 2021-2023
Pope Francis has asked the whole Church to prepare for the next Synod of Bishops in Rome by taking part in a process of discernment. He wants us to talk and listen about what path the Holy Spirit is directing the Church to follow at this time. In our parish you can take part in this by answering four questions set by Bishop Noel Treanor.
The fourth question is:
What steps are the Holy Spirit calling all of us to take at this time?
If you want to take part, pray and think over the
question for a little while. Then jot down your answer and drop it through the letter box of the parochial house or send it as an email to:
SYNOD DISCUSSION
As well as looking at the Synod questions in our own parish, we have been invited to take part in a discussion on the questions with people from neighbouring parishes in the North Connor area. The discussion will take place on Monday 21st March at 7pm in St Malachy’s Parish Centre in Coleraine.
LENT DEVOTIONS
The Stations of the Cross will be prayed in Our Lady & St Patrick’s each Sunday of Lent at 4pm. After Stations the rosary will be prayed before 5pm Mass.

EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION
Now that restrictions have ended and numbers
attending Mass have begun to increase we hope to
restart our lay ministry of Holy Communion.
Extraordinary Ministers carry out their service in two ways:
If you are interested in serving as a minister in either (or both) of these ways, you are invited to a short meeting after 10am Mass on Sunday 3rd April. We also need a volunteer coordinator to organise the rota for this
ministry.
Ministers will be commissioned on Holy Thursday. At this time we will only require ministers to help at the Friday evening, Saturday vigil and Sunday morning Masses.
